Since 1969, World Compassion has taken the message of Jesus into nations hostile to the Gospel.
We equip and train the local church in target nations to see the spiritual and physical transformation of lives. By working through the local church, there is greater potential for long-term sustainability and multiplied impact in ministry programs.
Iraq
For over 20 years, our compassion-evangelism outreaches have helped bring hope to a war torn region. Through mobile medical clinics, vocational schools, and small business grants, we help refugees rebuild their lives and introduce them to the Gospel message.
China
Facing the worst persecution and restrictions in decades, we help meet the demand for more leaders by providing our ABC discipleship and leadership training materials to develop house church pastors. We also offer our China Mission School training to empower Chinese missionaries to be sent out to unreached people groups throughout Asia and the Middle East.
Beyond
Due to the different needs of the countries we work in, we remain flexible and poised to prayerfully respond to the unique opportunities that present themselves around the world. Our ministry model is built for this; we can move quickly when a crisis hits.
Iran
In one of the most hostile nations to Christians on earth, we help reach people with the Gospel through our Bible distribution program, host leadership conferences, and provide discipleship materials to help this growing underground Christian community reach their nation.
Cuba
In Cuba, despite widespread poverty and oppression caused by the tight restriction of the Communist government, we provide pastoral support and partner with several pastors to help plant churches by expanding homes so that the church can continue to grow strong.
Myanmar
Our ABC discipleship and leadership materials equip local churches, both urban and remote, by training and empowering them to reach their communities. Our annual leadership conferences for pastors and leaders help refresh and build a culture of unity in the body of Christ.
