To date, over 24 million copies of our The Story of Jesus booklets have been distributed in multiple languages around the world.
Recently, we heard from a man named Yuri who was born in Ukraine and received World Compassion’s The Story of Jesus booklet as a young orphan over 30 years ago. To this day, he has kept the booklet preserved as it was the first time he heard about Jesus. A few years ago, he went back to the place he received the booklet and was elated to find that distribution was now happening in Iran.
He and his wife now live in Belarus. Recently, as Yuri and his wife were attending church, a grown man in his 40s stood up in front of the thousands attending that day. He was holding his own The Story of Jesus booklet that he received as a child and shared about how his life had changed all because someone cared enough to share the message of Jesus with him.
What is amazing to me is the longevity and impact that these booklets have had! This has become a multi-generational, multi-national, multi-language Gospel tool that continues to spread the message of Jesus to those who have never heard.
