I am married and have two small children, 5 and 7 years old. I worked as an air conditioning repair man when we lived in Syria. Throughout the war, my family has been destroyed. One relative was shot and killed; another died when his house was bombed. I finally decided we had to take our children and leave.
We walked to the border, and then took a bus to the camp where we now live. We have been well taken care of, but the tents are hot, our children stay sick, and it doesn’t feel like home at all.
