It was midnight when we were sitting at home. Everyone was shouting with concern when we heard the Taliban had taken over Afghanistan. The country had fallen.
We are working to evacuate several Christian families who are at high risk of threats by the Taliban. You can help today by supporting our Afghan relief efforts. Evacuations can range from $1,000 – $3,000 and sometimes even more.
Because of you, we’re positioned to help Afghanistan over the coming months as the situation evolves, knowing that this is a long-term effort to keep families safe.
On Sunday, August 15th, the Taliban took control of Kabul, Afghanistan. This ended a nearly 20-year effort by the U.S. and other nations to mold Afghanistan’s government into a democracy.
As a kid, whenever my dad was trying to get the family out of the house to go somewhere, he would stand at the bottom of the stairs and yell a loud, long and deep, “Let’s Gooooooo!” This meant he was ready to leave, and we better be too.
Pastor Ernesto and Violet have been actively working on this church property for over 8 years. 50 – 60 adults meet in their main service every week. They have initiated cell groups and added an additional 60 attendees. Las Canas is a smaller town just outside of Havana.
