Along with her sisters they were some of the first children who called this orphanage home. After spending the last 7 years of her childhood being raised in this home, World Compassion fulfilled her desire to go to cosmetology school to begin her own career.
Today, she is 18 years old and now working in the city of Yangon with long-term goals to influence her generation by blogging. Read her story below to see how living in this orphanage allowed her not only to meet Jesus but equip her for the challenges life can bring.
Our mother passed away in 2012, and then Dad also left home soon after that. We were taken care of by our aunty who was not in good health.
Our aunt brought me and my two sisters to the orphanage, and when we arrived, we were so happy living there. I heard the good news and also learned the Bible. We were nurtured with the Word of God to live a godly life, and I also got guidance from Jesus Christ.
When I left the orphanage and started working in a beauty salon, my life was totally different from the situation when I lived in the orphanage. I face many temptations and problems. While working in the salon, my aunt also passed away.
I have many difficulties and have to depend only on God who will never leave and forsake me. I have a dream that I am trying to become a successful blogger in the future. I also want to support the orphanage as much as I can, and I have a desire to serve the Lord in His ministry.
Before COVID-19, I used to visit my sisters once a month. I was always so happy to see my sisters and other friends that I forgot even to have my meals. These are very sweet moments for me. But now we are locked down. I cannot visit them, but I am keeping in touch with them and my church leaders who trained me well.
I would like to say thank you to each and every one of the World Compassion family who supported me. They care and show love, compassion and kindness to us. They never break down the communication with us and are still looking after us.
I have been praying for them, and I miss Pastor Jason and his family so much. I am so glad that we can still keep in touch with each other. It is amazing!
