July: Entrenched in the Rebuild of Iraq
When Your Pastor is Killed by Radical Muslims: Abdullah’s journey to becoming a pastor started when his pastor was killed by radical muslims. Now, as a recipient of a small business grant, he is not only able to provide for his family, but his church is running multiple compassion evangelism outreach programs!
The Church Will Find A Way: A new church is being planted in one of the villages where our mobile medical clinic has been leading dozens of people to the Lord. This is the fruit of consistent compassion!
June: Faces of Resilience
10 Years Past the Destruction of ISIS: June 2024 marked 10 years since the destruction of ISIS. World Compassion continues to respond through Compassion Evangelism outreaches to equip and empower the local church to share the message of Jesus.
Vocational Skills Training: To-date, 1,245 ladies have completed these programs (sewing and salon skills), with 120 already this year!
Mobile Medical Clinic: Our mobile medical clinic has served 1,887 people so far this calendar year and to-date has served over 18,913 since starting this outreach! In just the first quarter of 2024, 62 people gave their life to Jesus as a result!
May: Training Leaders for Spiritual Battle In Iran
In May, our team hosted another pastors conference for over 50 Iranian leaders in the Middle East.
Our goal is to double the number of house churches from 56 to 120 within our network in Iran by 2025.
For the last 6 months, World Compassion has been providing weekly leadership and Bible training to our house church pastors in Iran.
April: Building Pastors and Planting Churches
Iran: Our team is coordinating and preparing to host a Pastors and Leadership conference in the Middle East designed to develop, train and refresh pastors from Iran. Our goal is to double the number of house churches in Iran from 56 to 120 by August of 2025.
Cuba: One of the churches we helped plant has now planted 9 other churches and home groups in neighboring communities!
March: Compassion Evangelism
Compassion Evangelism happens when we meet the physical or practical needs of people while sharing the message of Jesus.
Across Myanmar and Cuba, through our Easter outreaches, we aimed to reach 3500 families or roughly 14,000 people.
February: Training the Next Generation from the Frontlines in Myanmar
Our team hosted a one day conference in Myanmar in late 2023.
Of the 550 attendees, 350 were ABC Discipleship and Leadership students. The majority of these attendees were under the age of 30!
One young girl learned about the forgiveness of her Heavenly Father – which gave her the strength to forgive her earthly father.
January: Go and Make Disciples (In China)
Coming off of the heels of our China conference at the end of 2023, we received 1200 new requests for ABC Discipleship curriculum.
