All Things New

The New Year is always a time of reflection and change.  We all want change and growth in our lives, but much of this change lies beyond our natural control.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” – II Corinthians 5:17

The New Year is always a time of reflection and change.  We all want change and growth in our lives, but much of this change lies beyond our natural control. Changes in our circumstances, relationships, health, etc., often require God’s hand working to bring them about in our lives, usually through other people.

God is very much concerned with making all things new in your life and in the lives of the children we are raising together in Burma.  Oftentimes, when we think about things becoming new, we imagine them being “brand new” like a product, sitting on a shelf in a store.

God has a different view.  He is in the business of restoring and rebuilding lives.  The Master Carpenter can take an old, damaged life, and recreate it in a way where it is “better than new.”  Have you ever been in an old home that has been gutted and completely restored?  They always retain the natural qualities and beauty they were originally created with but are restored in a fashion that makes them better than when they were first constructed.

The Master Craftsman is doing this in the lives of the children in Burma.  They were created by Him with beauty, intelligence, humor, and creative abilities.  Although they were damaged through the storms in their lives, He is now recreating them, restoring them into children who will grow up and change the country of Burma.

When we support and help raise children in Burma, we are a part of this restoration process, making all things new in their lives.  We believe we are taking these children from broken to whole, from fearful to confident, from discarded to accepted and loved.

You are funding God’s reconstruction project in the lives of these children.  And at the same time – know that God is rehabilitating and revitalizing your life as well.  He is the Master Craftsman in all of our lives!

We are praying for newness and restoration in your life for 2015!
