World Compassion’s ABC training is 280 lessons of comprehensive Bible teaching. It helps disciple new believers from the basics of the faith all the way through to evangelism, leadership, and church planting.
Over 5,000 students throughout China are actively studying in our ABC and CMS programs. Thousands more are ready and waiting to start as soon as more teaching materials can be distributed.
A conservative estimate is that there are 120 to 150 million Christians in China. In 2021, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) banned all religious content from being shared through any online platform.
The size of the Chinese church, combined with ongoing growth and stifling restrictions, continues to fuel the need for more trained leaders and Bible teaching. A strong house church discipleship program is essential for the health and growth of the largest national church on the planet.
We’ve created two programs with hundreds of hours of material available in print and audio formats to enable underground churches in China to reach people through comprehensive training.
World Compassion’s ABC training is 280 lessons of comprehensive Bible teaching. It helps disciple new believers from the basics of the faith all the way through to evangelism, marriage, leadership, and church planting. Although new laws have further restricted gatherings and prohibited religious content from being shared online, hundreds of new students are added to the ranks regularly.
Many ABC students complete their training and begin leading their own house churches, often teaching out of the very curriculum we provide.
To build on the foundation of ABC, we also offer conferences as a rare opportunity for the underground Chinese church to get together in larger numbers to receive encouragement, a time of fellowship, and outside teaching on relevant topics.
