Since 1969 World Compassion has reached nations restricted to the Gospel by equipping the local church in these environments. We continue to transform families, communities, and impact nations with the love of Jesus.

We pattern our work after a Biblical model of ministry including Compassion, Evangelism, Discipleship, and Church Planting.

Refugee relief

Compassion

Through compassion ministries, we reach people in their most desperate point of need. Whether it is providing free medical care to refugee families or distributing food and blankets after a disaster, meeting people’s immediate needs is an important step in letting people know God loves them.

Bibles Across Borders

Evangelism

As relationships are established, often through compassion-based ministries, the indigenous churches we partner with participate in presenting the Gospel to their own communities. The distribution of Bibles and Christian literature sparks the opportunity for a one-on-one conversation and an invitation to the local church.

Ministry training

Discipleship

We equip indigenous churches to make disciples and train leaders by providing our ABC Discipleship and Leadership course and our Mission School program in Asia. In addition, we host leadership conferences throughout the year in target nations in the Middle East and Asia.

Church Planting

We work closely with local churches to help train, strategize with, and resource local Christians to plant churches in their own country. As a result, they begin impacting their community and multiplying disciples by replicating this Biblical model of ministry in their new environment (Compassion, Evangelism, Discipleship, Church Planting).

Our Leadership

Jason Law

PRESIDENT

Jason Law is president of World Compassion, founded in 1969 by his father, Dr. Terry Law. Jason has a passion to see the local church unite and impact their nation as the Body of Christ.

This passion, combined with his belief that God’s love transforms the lives of people, is what drives the mission and initiatives of World Compassion in countries including Iran, Iraq, Myanmar, China, Cuba, the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States.

Under Jason’s leadership, World Compassion has been ready to provide relief through local churches when crisis strikes.

Jason speaks at churches and other events for World Compassion throughout the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. He is a champion for the Unite My City movement in his home city of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and desires to see what God is doing to be multiplied in cities around the world.

Jason is a graduate of Oral Roberts University. He and his wife, Beth, along with their daughter, Addison, and son, Logan, are planted at Guts Church in Tulsa where Jason and Beth serve as elders. Jason enjoys spending time with his family and friends and doing anything outdoors, especially golfing and snow skiing.

Dr. Terry Law

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing. – 2 Timothy 4:7-8

World Compassion was founded by Dr. Terry Law. In 1969, upon graduating from Oral Roberts University, Terry co-founded Living Sound International, a music group that led hundreds of young people to minister in more than 40 countries. This led to his over 50-year journey of ministry to become one of the most influential mission voices to nations hostile to the Gospel.

This journey took him to places like Russia, China, North Korea, Afghanistan, Iran, and Iraq. His compassion-evangelism model of ministry has shaped World Compassion’s mission that stands to this day – transforming lives by meeting both the physical and spiritual needs of people.

Terry authored several books including The Fight of Every Believer, The Truth About Angels, How to Enter The Presence of God, The Power of Praise and Worship, and The Hope Habit. The booklet The Story of Jesus has been translated into more than 52 languages with an estimated 27 million copies distributed worldwide.

Terry Law went home to be with the Lord on August 31, 2020. We celebrate Terry’s life and purpose by carrying on his legacy to reach nations that are hostile to the Gospel and taking new ground for the Kingdom of God.

Board of Directors

A board of directors is responsible for the leadership of World Compassion. This board meets regularly and reviews the operations of the ministry. The current USA board was elected on December 9, 2022. All trustees are voting members.


World Compassion strives to be financially accountable and transparent in everything that we do. We are a member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA). ECFA holds member organizations to seven standards of accountability.
