Update 2/2/24:

Iranian forces searched the home and confiscated mobile phones, tablets, and any computers present. One by one individuals were taken to a room inside the house, interrogated, and handed sheets to write personal information about themselves, church leaders, and other members. After hours of questioning and searching, they arrested one of the ladies and two of the men.
These leaders have helped us with our Bible distributions, attended our conferences, and are a part of our monthly training. One of these men is from Afghanistan and faces the possibility of being deported back to Afghanistan and into the hands of the Taliban.
Before leaving, officers even removed pictures of Christ and crosses from the walls to make their point that Christianity is not wanted in Iran.
As of this report, the three people arrested have not been harmed but will remain in prison for the next 48 hours until their trial. Please be praying for their safety and for a miracle to have minimal to no prison sentences.
This is the reality for Christians living in Iran.
On a positive note, none of the Bibles World Compassion has helped move into the country were confiscated and remain safe.
In speaking with our Iranian leaders, although deeply concerned, they continue to take a stance that the work must continue.
In the middle of this setback a few new churches have already started and thousands of Bibles continue to be distributed in the country every month through a complex network of people collaborating together. In addition we are making plans to double the number of house churches in Iran over the next 18 months.
The courage of these Iranian people is inspiring. It should challenge us to be more bold with our faith in Jesus. They continue the press forward in Spirit-empowered strength and wisdom. This is what we do. It’s who we are. As Jesus said, “I will build My church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it.”
You can continue standing with them in prayer but also by empowering them to share Bibles with people wanting to know more about Jesus.
$9 (£8) = One Bible into someone’s hands in Iran.
We continue to move forward toward a goal of reaching 120,000 people by June of 2024 through Bible distribution.
How many people can you reach in Iran today?
Yes, I want to give Bibles today!
